‘Release The Power’ is a youth-collaboration hip hop album inspired by the Writings of the Baha’i Faith and various concepts included in Book 5 of the Ruhi Institute (‘Releasing The Powers of Junior Youth’). The album features three inspiring youth: Brian aka Brenn; Ally aka Xandra Black; and Tony aka Reflectionz; as well as myself, Colby Jeffers.

🙏 Spiritual Inspiration 🙏

One of the fundamental concepts we explored throughout our study was that of the “self”. We came to understand that there is a higher nature and lower nature to each human being, and our spiritual mission is to live in the higher nature as much as possible. The creation of “Elevation” was inspired by this exploration.

“O SON OF SPIRIT! I created thee rich, why dost thou bring thyself down to poverty? Noble I made thee, wherewith dost thou abase thyself? Out of the essence of knowledge I gave thee being, why seekest thou enlightenment from anyone beside Me? Out of the clay of love I molded thee, how dost thou busy thyself with another? Turn thy sight unto thyself, that thou mayest find Me standing within thee, mighty, powerful and self-subsisting.” – Bahá’u’lláh (Ruhi Institute Book 5, Unit 2, Section 5)
